Study Program Doctorate

According to Government Regulation (PP) No. 154 of 2000 regarding the determination of IPB as BHMN in 2006, IPB through the Rector's Decree No. 027/K13/PP/2007 dated March 22, 2007 on the Arrangement of Major Programs in Graduate Education Curriculum Major-Minor System in IPB Environment, has established the Forest Product Department (DHH) as the implementing organization of the S3 Engineering and Improvement of Forest Product Quality (S3 RPM) Study Program with a Major-Minor curriculum system which took effect in the academic year 2007-2008.

Vision

The vision of the Doctoral Program in Forest Products Science and Technology is to become a leading program in the development of high-quality and internationally recognized science, technology, and art (STA) in forest products.

This vision of the Doctoral Program in Forest Products Science and Technology aligns with the long-term and mid-term visions of IPB (Decision of the IPB Board of Trustees No: 30/MWA-IPB/2017 and No: 18/IT3.MWA/PR/2018), the mid-term and long-term visions of the Faculty of Forestry and the mid-term and long-term visions of the Forest Products Department. The IPB mid-term vision based on the IPB Strategic Plan Document for 2019-2023 is "Becoming a research-based and leading higher education institution in innovation for national independence towards a techno-socio entrepreneurial university that excels at the global level in the fields of agriculture, oceanography, and tropical bioscience. Referring to this IPB mid-term vision, the IPB Faculty of Forestry 2022-2026 vision is "to become a world-class faculty in the field of sustainable tropical forestry and environment." Based on the IPB vision and the vision of the Faculty of Forestry, and in order to achieve the desired conditions for the next 5 years, the vision of the Forest Products Department (DHH) is: "To be a world-class higher education institution based on research and international standards in producing quality human resources and developing STA in the technology of utilizing forest products based on the philosophy and goals of Pancasila

Mission

1. Human resources with doctorate (S3) qualifications in main competence of forest product science and technology, upholding truth and honesty, and having responsive, cooperative, and creative attitudes and behaviors, thus having competitive advantages and integrity.

2. Innovation in technology, especially in the utilization of wood and non-wood forest products based on research, that can contribute to the improvement of forest product science and technology and the development of efficient and sustainable forest product utilization industry.
