Study Program Doctorate
Plant Biology Doctoral Study Program (PhD in Plant Biology) is the result of the development of the Biology Doctoral Program specializing in Plant Biology which has been held since 1980. Plant Biology Doctoral Study Program was formed in 2007 based on the Decree of the Rector (Chancellor) of IPB number 027/K13/PP/2007 with the aim that the education, its research and development is more focused in the field of Plant Biology with strengthening in the research field so that it can support IPB as a World Class University.
In 2030 it will become a doctoral study program in the field of Plant Biology with international standards that excels in postgraduate education, research and development of biosciences, biodiversity and tropical plant biotechnology and contributes to the development of agriculture and bioindustry as well as of environmental management and health
Mission"(1) Organizing doctoral (PhD) education in a professional manner that is recognized nationally and regionally and fostering quality of academic life to produce Doctors in Plant Biology who are highly capable in the development of science and technology in the field of Plant Biology and play an active role in national development. (2) ) Carry out quality and world-class research to develop knowledge and innovation in the field of Plant Biology as a basis for managing plant diversity and utilization of plants in the field of bioprospecting and plant biotechnology to support the development of agriculture, bio-industry, environment and health (3) Play an active role in sustainable management and utilization of plant resources to support agricultural, environmental and health development based on the utilization of knowledge and research results in the field of Plant Biology for the greatest possible prosperity and the Indonesian people. (4) Building networks and cooperation with various educational, research, government, and private institutions both at home and abroad to support qualified education, research and community service activities.
