The Department of Management has been mandated to develop its academic programs as outlined in Rector's Decree No. 001/K13/PP/2005. The Department of Management at IPB has been offering undergraduate programs since 2001 and master's programs since 2007. The mandate of the study program is in accordance with the Academic Senate of Bogor Agricultural University Decree No. 14 of 2024 concerning Approval for the Opening of a Doctoral Program in Management Science, Faculty of Economics and Management, Bogor Agricultural University, which is:

a. to develop management science that can be implemented both at the academic theoretical and professional practical levels in order to support sustainable development;

b. to develop conceptual frameworks and theories in management science that are relevant to addressing evolving management issues; and

c. to develop outstanding talent in the field of management who are adaptive, resilient, and innovative to lead organizational transformation in the face of change and technological revolution in a sustainable manner.

The establishment of the Doctoral Program in Management Science is stipulated in the Decree of the Rector of Bogor Agricultural University Number 349 of 2025 concerning the Establishment of the Doctoral Program in Management Science at the Faculty of Economics and Management, Bogor Agricultural University.
