Study Program Doctorate

Based on the Government Regulation (PP) of the Republic of Indonesia Number 154 of 2000 concerning the designation of IPB as a State-Owned Legal Entity University (PT BHMN) in 2006, IPB, through Rector's Decree Number 027/K13/PP/2007 dated March 22, 2007, regarding the Arrangement of Majors in the Graduate Education Program with the Major-Minor System Curriculum at IPB, has designated the Department of Forest Products (DHH) as the implementing organization of the Doctoral Program in Forest Product Engineering and Quality Improvement (S3 RPM) with a Major-Minor curriculum system, which became effective in the 2007-2008 academic year.

Vision

The vision of the Doctoral Program in Forest Product Science and Technology is to become a leading study program in the development of high-quality and internationally recognized knowledge, technology, and arts (IPTEKS) in forest products.

The vision of the ITHH Doctoral Program aligns with the long-term and medium-term vision of IPB (Decrees of the IPB Board of Trustees Number: 30/MWA-IPB/2017 and Number: 18/IT3.MWA/PR/2018), the long-term and medium-term vision of Fahutan, and the long-term and medium-term vision of the Department of Forest Products. The medium-term vision of IPB based on the 2019-2023 IPB Strategic Plan Document is "To become a research-based university and a leader in innovation for national self-reliance towards a techno-socio entrepreneurial university that excels globally in the fields of agriculture, marine, and tropical biosciences." Referring to IPB's medium-term vision, the vision of IPB's Faculty of Forestry (Fahutan) for 2022-2026 is "to become a world-class faculty in the field of sustainable tropical forestry and environment." Based on IPB's vision and the Faculty of Forestry's vision, and in order to realize the desired conditions for the next 5 (five) years, the vision of the Department of Forest Products (DHH) is: "To become a research-based and internationally recognized higher education institution in producing quality human resources and developing science and technology in the field of forest product utilization based on the philosophy and goals of Pancasila."

Mission

Organize tridharma activities to achieve:

1. Human resources with doctoral (PhD) qualifications who have core competencies in forest product science and technology, uphold truth and honesty, and possess responsive, cooperative, and creative attitudes and behaviors, thereby having competitive advantages and integrity.
2. Technological innovations, particularly in the utilization of wood and non-wood forest products based on research, that are capable of contributing to the improvement of forest product science and technology and the development of an efficient and sustainable forest product utilization industry.
