Study Program Doctorate

Climatology is a science that studies the long-term conditions of the physical dynamics of the atmosphere (weather and climate). This field of knowledge and its application is growing rapidly, especially at the international level. The Applied Climatology Study Program is the only currently running doctoral study program at the Department of Geophysics and Meteorology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, IPB. The study program seeks to produce graduates who are professionals in the field of climatology and its applications, so as to be able to develop science and technological innovation in the utilization and management of atmospheric resources and their interactions.

Vision

Become a Doctor of Applied Climatology with international standard academic, research, and innovation competencies.

Mission

1. Organizing international quality Doctor of Applied Climatology education
2. Develop original and tested science, technology, and innovation in the field of applied climatology through inter-, multi-, and transdisciplinary research collaborations.
3. Contributing to sustainable development through the implementation of science and technology as well as innovation in applied climatology
