The Master’s Program (S2) in Natural Resources and Environmental Management (PSL) at IPB University is the oldest environmental science master’s program in Indonesia, consistently serving as a trendsetter in the development of environmental science grounded in multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary approaches, as well as systemic and solution-oriented perspectives. Rooted in IPB’s strength as a leading agromaritime university, the PSL Master’s Program integrates ecological, social, economic, policy, technological, and innovation-based perspectif to address the complex challenges of sustainable natural resources and environmental development at both national and global levels. To become a leading Master’s (S2) program in the tropical region in producing high-quality human resources and advancing science, technology, and the arts (IPTEKS) in the field of natural resources and environmental management, in support of achieving sustainable development.

Mission

1.   To provide professional Master’s (S2) education in the field of natural resources and environmental management, producing innovative and well-validated outcomes.

2.   To organize and pioneer research activities (both basic and applied) in the development of science, technology, and the arts in the field of sustainable natural resources and environmental management, carried out in an integrated manner through interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary approaches.

3.   To become a trendsetter in the development of Master’s (S2) programs in Natural Resources and Environmental Management (PSL) at the graduate level in Indonesia and the tropical region.
