Study Program Magistrate

The Veterinary Biomedical Science Master's Program is an oligodisciplinary program involving various branches of veterinary science. The focus of the sciences developed is on human health and the environment to support improved public health.
The Veterinary Biomedical Science study program consists of seven specializations: Physiology and Drug Efficacy (IFO), Parasitology and Medical Entomology (PEK), Veterinary Public Health (KMV), Medical Microbiology (MkM), Veterinary Biomedical Science (IBH), Reproductive Biology (BRP), and Animal Developmental Anatomy (APH).
The curriculum structure of the IBH Master's Program is designed to achieve the goal of developing expert competencies in biomedical academics and research. It comprises a total of 36-39 Semester Credit Units (SKS) across four semesters (two years). These include compulsory postgraduate courses (3 credits), compulsory study program courses (6 credits), compulsory elective courses (9 credits), elective courses (6 credits), and enrichment courses (2-3 credits). The program concludes with a final project (research proposal, colloquium, research, seminar, scientific publication, and thesis) totaling 31-33 credits.
To achieve the learning outcomes of master's graduates, the learning process implemented is characterized by being interactive, holistic, integrative, scientific, contextual, thematic, effective, collaborative, and student-centered. The learning process includes face-to-face lectures, discussions, mentoring, and examinations. The profile of graduates of the IBH Master's program is expected to have a Powerful-Agile Learn attitude to face VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) so that they are able to manage and develop science and technology, especially in the field of animal health, which is beneficial for the development of science and the welfare of humanity.

Vision

To become a leading master's study program based on innovative research in the development of human resources and science and technology in tropical animal health and biomedical sciences in order to produce graduates who are highly competitive and have a technosocio-entrepreneurial spirit at the global level in realizing sustainable development for human welfare by harmonizing the relationship between humans, animals and the environment.

Mission

1). Providing innovative and scientific postgraduate education at the master's level (S-2) in veterinary biomedical sciences, based on competency (innovative education) and centered on students (student-centered), to produce graduates who are responsive and adaptive to technological developments (technology changing) and future challenges (future-ready);
2). Conducting master's-level research relevant to issues in veterinary and biomedical sciences in an analytical, theoretical, independent, professional, and responsible manner;

3). Organizing community service programs based on master's-level expertise and competencies in animal health and biomedicine;
4). Organizing human resource development at the master's level and internationally recognized reference institutions in the field of animal health and animal biomedicine;
5). Building a professional culture that is adaptable, inspiring, innovative, and fosters an entrepreneurial mindset (techno-socio-entrepreneurship) to support sustainable national development through high-quality research and community service activities in animal health and biomedicine;
6). Expanding its influence as a postgraduate educational institution at the master's level that is trusted and respected by all stakeholders and plays a role in improving the standard of living of the community through integrated animal health and biomedical studies, harmonizing the relationship between animals, humans, and the environment (one health); and
7). Creating an academic atmosphere for higher education at the master's level that is conducive to achieving the vision of the IBH Master's Program.
