Study Program Magistrate

The Master Program in Veterinary Biomedical Sciences is an oligo-disciplinary study program involving various branches of veterinary sciences. The focus of the science developed is the field of human and environmental health sciences to support the improvement of public health.

The Master’s Program in Veterinary Biomedical Sciences consists of 6 specializations, namely Physiological Sciences and Medicinal Efficacy (IFO), Health Parasitology and Entomology (PEK), Veterinary Public Health (KMV), Medical Microbiology (MKM), Reproductive Biology (BRP), and Veterinary Biomedical Science (IBH).

The curriculum structure of the Master’s Program is structured to achieve the goal of developing expert competence in the field of biomedical academics and research with a total of 36-39 Semester Credit Units (SKS) held in 4 semesters (2 years) covering compulsory postgraduate courses (3 credits), courses compulsory study program (5 credits), specialization compulsory courses (9 credits) and elective courses (6-7 credits). The educational program ends with a final assignment (research proposal, colloquium, research, seminar, scientific publication, and thesis) totaling 14 credits.

In realizing the learning outcomes of master graduates, the learning process applied has characteristics consisting of interactive, holistic, integrative, scientific, contextual, thematic, effective, collaborative, and student-centered (student center learning) characteristics. The learning process includes face-to-face lectures, discussions, mentoring, and exams.

The profile of graduates of the Master’s program is expected to have a Powerful-Agile Learner attitude to deal with VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) so that they are able to manage and develop science and technology, especially in the field of animal health which is beneficial for the development of science and the benefit of humanity.
