Study Program Magistrate
Based on the Government Regulation (PP) of the Republic of Indonesia Number 154 of 2000 concerning the designation of IPB as a State-Owned Higher Education Institution (PT BHMN) in 2006, IPB, through Rector's Decree Number 001/K13/PP/2005 dated January 10, 2005, regarding the Structuring of Departments within IPB, has established the Department of Forest Products (DHH) as the implementing organization for the Master's Program in Forest Products Science and Technology (PS THH) with a Major-Minor curriculum system, which came into effect in the 2007-2008 academic year.
The vision of the Master's Program in Forest Product Science and Technology is to become a leading study program in learning, knowledge development, as well as technological and artistic innovation in the utilization of high-quality forest products, particularly in realizing the development of a forest resource-based industry sustainably.
The vision of the Master's Program in Forest Product Science and Technology aligns with the long-term and medium-term visions of IPB (Decree of the IPB Board of Trustees Number: 30/MWA-IPB/2017 and Number: 18/IT3.MWA/PR/2018), the long-term and medium-term vision of the Faculty of Forestry, and the long-term and medium-term vision of the Department of Forest Products. The medium-term vision of IPB based on the IPB Strategic Plan Document for 2019-2023 is "To become a research-based university and a leading innovator for national independence toward a techno-socio entrepreneurial university that excels globally in the fields of agriculture, marine sciences, and tropical biosciences." Referring to this medium-term vision of IPB, the vision of IPB's Faculty of Forestry for 2022-2026 is "to become a world-class faculty in sustainable tropical forestry and environmental sciences". Based on the vision of IPB and the vision of the Faculty of Forestry, and in order to realize the desired condition for the next 5 (five) years, the vision of the Department of Forest Products (DHH) is: “To become a research-based, internationally recognized higher education institution in producing quality human resources and developing science and technology in the field of forest product utilization technology based on the philosophy and goals of Pancasila.”
MissionOrganizing tridharma activities to produce:
Human resources with a master's degree (S2) qualification, possessing core competencies in forest product science and technology, upholding truth and honesty, and having responsive, cooperative, and creative attitudes and behaviors, thereby having competitive advantage and integrity.
Technological innovations, especially in the utilization of wood and non-wood forest products, based on research, capable of contributing to the development of an efficient and sustainable forest product utilization industry.
