Study Program Magistrate
Master of Science Program in Management of the Graduate School (PSIM SPs) of IPB is an academic educational program at the Master level in the field of management science which is a monodisciplinary cluster under the Department of Management, Faculty of Economics and Management IPB University as well as the Graduate School of IPB University. This program organizes regular class (Monday-Friday) at IPB Dramaga campus and special class (Friday-Saturday) at IPB Baranangsiang campus. This program was opened by the Department of Management based on Rector Decree No. 027/K13/PP/2007. PSIM obtained “A” accreditation from BAN PT in 2020 with BAN-PT Decree No. 7575/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/M/XI/2020 which valid until 2025.
All lecturers who teach at PSIM SPs are scholars with doctoral degrees from world-reputable universities and professional practitioners who are highly recognized in their respective fields. All lecturers, scholars as well as practitioners, hold doctoral degrees and among them there are 12 full professors as permanent lecturers.
The PSIM SPs curriculum is designed to answer the needs of 21st-century skills equipped with critical thinking, creative thinking, collaboration, and communication skills in solving problems. The curriculum has a study load of 39 credits, consisting of IPB Graduate School (SPs) compulsory courses (6 credits), PSIM (PS) compulsory courses (14 credits), compulsory elective courses (8 credits), and a final project (14 credits). PSIM curriculum also encourages students to have international experience and learn from diverse sources from outside the study program. There are 7 specializations or concentrations: Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Marketing Management, Innovation and Digital Management, General Management, and Social Security Management (Double degree with KU Leuven Belgium).
PSIM graduates generally work as management professionals, management consultants, academics, entrepreneurs, and bureaucrats. PSIM alumni are active in various multinational companies, national private companies, state-owned enterprises, ministries, opening their own businesses, etc. The average waiting period for employment after graduation is less than 6 months. PSIM has cooperation with various reputable institutions at home and abroad including local governments, companies, domestic universities, and universities abroad such as in Malaysia (University Putra Malaysia, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia UTHM), Thailand (Kasetsart University), Turkey (Marmara University, Yildiz Technical University), Germany (University of Hannover, Heidelberg University), Belgium (KU Leuven), Netherlands (Wageningen University and Research) and Australia (the University of Adelaide, University of Sydney, Deakin University, RMIT Melbourne, and Monash University).
