Study Program Magistrate

The Master of Agricultural Economics Study Program (PS Magister EPN) is currently under the Department of Resource and Environmental Economics (ESL) as the Study Program Management Unit (UPPS). PS Magister EPN is one of the oldest postgraduate programs at IPB. Founded in 1975, the PS Magister EPN aims to produce qualified Indonesian human resources in the field of Agricultural Economics. Alumni of PS Magister EPN are those who are able to think and act wisely and responsibly, uphold knowledge, and are able to apply it in agricultural development in a broad sense in accordance with the conditions and needs of economic development in Indonesia.

In its 47th year, the EPN Magister Study Program has produced more than a thousand alumni who are highly dedicated and make a real contribution to Indonesia's economic development. The development and refinement of the EPN Masters Study Program continues, both in terms of governance, educational facilities and infrastructure, and scientific fields, so that it can realize the Vision of the 2018-2023 EPN Masters Study Program, namely "To become a leading Master of Agricultural Economics Study Program and become a national reference in supporting sustainable national and regional economic development”. Achieving the PS Vision requires good planning and strategy, taking into account various internal and external factors and accommodating future perspectives. The Self Evaluation Document (DED) of the EPN Masters Study Program was prepared as one of the requirements for the EPN Masters Study Program accreditation by LAMEMBA. This DED PS Master of EPN briefly explains the strategies and development programs in achieving the Vision, Mission and Objectives of the PS. This document consists of several sections, namely: UPPS Profile; Explanation of inputs, processes, outputs and achievements, and the advantages produced by PS; and description of the strategy for the development and sustainability of UPPS.

The EPN Magister Study Program management unit consists of a Chair and Secretary and is assisted by 2 education staff. The lecturers involved in the educational process consist of 28 people with Doctoral and Professor qualifications with educational backgrounds in Economics and Agricultural Economics from the best universities at home and abroad. The EPN Masters Study Program is the forerunner for the development of other Postgraduate Study Programs in IPB and outside IPB (National). Within IPB, Masters Study Programs that were born from the development of concentrations (specializations) that were previously developed at EPN Masters Study Programs were: Economics, Resource and Environmental Economics, Agribusiness, even the Business School. During 1980-1985, the EPN Masters Study Program served as a "coach" in the development of Postgraduate Study Programs at several universities in Indonesia through the Credit Collecting Program and Partnership Programs, such as Sam Ratulangi University, Hasanuddin University, Andalas University, North Sumatra University, and others.
