The Nutrition and Feed Science Study Program (PS-INP) is a development of the Animal Science Study Program (PS-PTK). PS-PTK has been conducted since 1975 and was officially established through the Higher Education Directorate General (DIKTI) Licensing Decree dated October 2, 1993, No. 584/DIKTI/Kep/1993.

In line with the advancement of science and the increasing demand for human resources in the field of nutrition and feed, PS-PTK developed into PS-INP on December 28, 2012, through the Rector’s Decree of IPB No. 235/IT3/DT/2012.

PS-INP implements a Major–Minor curriculum system and is therefore also known as the Major in Nutrition and Feed Science (Major INP).

The PS-INP Master’s Program has been accredited A since 2016 with accreditation number 2801/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/M/XI/2016.

To become an internationally recognized master’s education management unit in the field of tropical nutrition and feed technology, producing outstanding graduates with strong entrepreneurial character.

1) To implement modern higher education in order to produce high-quality graduates who are capable of advancing scientific knowledge and innovation in the utilization of local feed resources, developing the livestock industry, and possessing an entrepreneurial spirit to face the global market era;
2) To apply and develop knowledge in the field of tropical nutrition and feed technology through high-quality research programs that support the educational process and address issues related to tropical nutrition and feed technology; and
3) To enhance community service by providing high-quality expertise and programs related to tropical nutrition and feed technology
