Study Program Magistrate


The establishment of Magister Study Program in Food Safety (PSM-KPN) was driven by the need for human resources at both the industrial and food safety authority (government) levels who is knowledgeable and capable of managing food safety issues based on scientific developments. PSM-KPN aims to produce human resources with the capacity to solve food safety problems , improve the quality of science-based and risk-based food safety regulations and policies as well as to improve the quality of research for food safety. Risk-based food safety refers to the use of three interactive components, namely risk assessment, risk management, and risk communication in obtaining the estimates of food safety risks to public health, identifying and implementing the appropriate control measures, and communicating risks to all stakeholders.

To be an internationally recognized magister program for professionals and researchers in the field of food safety.

Mission

1. To develop human resources capable of solving food safety issues based on science and risk;

2. To improve the quality of food safety regulations and policies; and

3. To improve the quality of research for food safety
