Study Program Magistrate
In realizing marine development as the foundation of the national economy, strong efforts are needed to improve the capability of the nation's human resources and science and technology in order to optimally and sustainably utilize marine resources. Marine development needs to be carried out efficiently in accordance with the availability of natural resources, preventing damage and can even encourage the recovery of natural resources that have been damaged. It is this paradigm that underlies the Blue Economy concept. In order to improve the efficiency of marine development governance, it is necessary to pay attention to the characteristics of existing natural, social, economic and institutional resources. The Tropical Marine Economics Study Program (PS EKT) is committed to developing scholarship under the Blue Economy paradigm by taking into account the uniqueness of Indonesia's archipelago and tropical seas. PS EKT was established in 2002 by starting a master's program and opening a doctoral program in 2012
