Becoming a developer of middle-range theories and research methodologies in rural sociology as an applied social science that is empirical, contextual, holistic, and responsive to the demands of social transformation in rural communities.

Vision

To become a leading study program and a reference in producing human resources with scientific research competencies in the field of Rural Sociology in Southeast Asia by 2035.

Mission

1. Conducting education in the field of rural sociology with a primary focus on: social transformation processes in rural communities and rural areas, taking into account the development of digital ecosystems, community development, and equitable and sustainable management of natural resources and the environment.
2. Conducting research in the field of rural sociology with the main topic of tropical agriculture in a broad sense in mainland, coastal and marine areas, taking into account the development of digital ecosystems, community development, and equitable and sustainable management of natural resources and the environment.
3. Conducting research collaborations with a multidisciplinary approach through interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary approaches to solve problems in rural communities and rural areas based on research.
