Study Program Magistrate


Study Program Master of Islamic Economics (IES) is one of the study programs managed by the Department of Islamic Economics, which is under the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) and the Postgraduate School of IPB University. This program was established in response to the rapid development of Islamic economics and the challenges faced in the agricultural sector, particularly in the context of agromaritime. The IES Master's Program was established based on IPB Rector's Decree No. 239 of 2024 concerning the establishment of the Master of Islamic Economics Study Program in the Department of Islamic Economics.

The IES Master's Program is committed to becoming a center of excellence in the development of Islamic economics that contributes to national development, the economy of the people, and the development of the Islamic finance industry in Indonesia. Global economic developments, the dynamics of the halal industry, digital transformation, and the need for competent human resources require this program to continuously improve its quality.

The study period is designed for 4 semesters (2 years) with learning that integrates Islamic values with a modern economic approach to produce graduates who are analytical, solution-oriented, and have integrity. Graduates have broad career prospects, including as academics, researchers, Sharia economic analysts and consultants, managers of Islamic financial institutions, zakat and waqf administrators, regulators, and professionals in the halal industry. Graduates are also prepared to become techno-sociopreneurship entrepreneurs based on Islamic values. Thus, this program is the right choice for those who want to play an active role in the development of a fair, sustainable, and globally competitive Islamic economy.

The Master of Islamic Economics program at IPB University has a vision to become a center of excellence for master's level Islamic Economics education with international standards based on Agromaritime and Techno-sociopreneurship.

The Master of Islamic Economics Program at IPB University has a mission that is a strategic step in realizing its vision, namely:
1. To provide Master's level education to meet the needs of society with excellent accreditation, both nationally and internationally.
2. To encourage and conduct research in Islamic Economics through innovative approaches to create a fair and civilized economic system.
3. Actively participating in shaping Islamic Economics based on techno-socioentrepreneurship.
4. Developing the capacity and quality of human resources in an effort to support sustainable agromaritime development.
