Study Program Undergraduate


The Animal Production Technology Study Program (PS TPT) is one of the academic programs administered by the Department of Animal Production and Technology, Faculty of Animal Science, IPB University. PS TPT implements educational, research, and community service programs in accordance with the Tri Dharma of Higher Education mandated for universities.

PS TPT offers an academic program aimed at producing graduates in animal science who are capable of planning, implementing, and developing livestock enterprises; mastering production technology and waste management systems; and competently handling livestock products. The educational program conducted by PS TPT adopts a curriculum that incorporates the principles of animal welfare, sustainability of genetic resources, and environmental conservation.

To be awarded a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from PS TPT, students are required to complete a minimum of 144 credit units and a maximum of 160 credit units.

To become a leading study program that produces graduates who are competent in the field of livestock production technology.

Mission

1. To organize and develop an undergraduate education program in production technology and livestock product management that is adaptive to technological advancements.

2. To produce graduates in animal science who possess scientific competence, practical skills, and managerial abilities, as well as an entrepreneurial mindset in production technology, enabling them to compete at both national and international levels.

3. To develop the undergraduate curriculum in production technology and livestock product management that ensures animal welfare, the safety of animal-derived food, and the sustainability of genetic and environmental resources.

4. To advance research in production technology and livestock products, considering animal welfare, the safety of animal-derived food, and the sustainability of genetic and environmental resources, with outcomes suitable for publication at national and international levels.

5. To develop community service programs in production technology and livestock products at regional and national levels.
