Study Program Undergraduate
The Agronomy and Horticulture Study Program is an undergraduate-level program within the Faculty of Agriculture, IPB University, which provides high-quality and comprehensive academic education in the field of plant resource management, as well as the development and dissemination of technologies to support sustainable agriculture and environmental conservation.
The Agronomy and Horticulture Study Program aims to produce graduates who:
Possess a strong understanding of plant characteristics and genetic diversity, as well as plant growth and development and their physiological responses to various growing environments;
Have knowledge and mastery of skills to manage competitive and sustainable plant production and development; and
Demonstrate awareness of lifelong learning, entrepreneurial attitudes, adherence to ethical and professional standards, respect for humanitarian values, communication skills, teamwork ability, and capacity for independent development.
To become a center for the implementation of internationally standardized academic activities in producing excellent graduates who master smart technologies for crop production within sustainable tropical agricultural systems.
Mission1. To deliver high-quality, excellent, and comprehensive academic education in the fields of food crops, plantation crops, horticulture, biopharmaceutical plants, and plant resources;
2. To conduct research on genetic potential engineering, physiology, biotechnology, and environmental and plant resources, as well as their development and dissemination, to support competitive and sustainable agricultural development;
3. To carry out community service to enhance the impact of education in improving community welfare and the competitiveness of agricultural commodities;
4. To implement national and international collaboration
