Study Program Undergraduate


Department of Communication and Community Development Sciences (CCDS) Faculty of Human Ecology IPB University was formed for scientific development to "integrate" a number of people from the Social Sciences group with various backgrounds in different branches of science and by "bringing" several educational, research and community empowerment activities from the previous departments. The department was philosophically "supported" by various scientific schools. A process of communication between people, scholarship, and inter-scholarly (paradigm) science is maintained to form a department with a firm philosophical foundation and character.

Department of Communication and Community Development Sciences (CCDS) Faculty of Human Ecology IPB University is one of the big five as  the most enthusiasts department at IPB  and accredited A from BAN PT.

Vision

To be an excellent department and achieves international standard in education and science and technology development (science, technology and arts) in the field of community development communication and produces high quality human resources (HR) and science and technology particularly for developing of tropical agricultural communities.

Mission

1. Organizing a qualified higher education (competent in knowledge, skills and attitudes) that is dynamic according to changing times and applicable regulations/Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI);

2. Developing cutting-edge research in the fields of communication and extension sciences, population, agrarian and human ecology, as well as sociology, anthropology, social psychology and community development (theoretical concepts of special sections in the fields of extension, development communication, political ecology, sociology rural areas) that are beneficial to stakeholders;

3. Encouraging and realizing community service through community development programs in collaboration with various parties;

4. Doing community empowerment missions socially, economically and politically in a participatory manner according to the field of expertise with dedication to the welfare of the Indonesian nation;

5. Fostering partnership cooperation with the principle of mutual benefit with various institutions, both private, government, domestic and foreign in the field of Higher Education Tridharma;

6. Realizing a society that is sovereign, communicative, adaptive to the environment and highly self-reliant and respects different views, ethnicity, race, religion and gender in developing agriculture and rural areas; and

7. Realizing a development paradigm that brings prosperity to stakeholders towards civil society and guarantees the achievement of justice and the sustainability of natural resources and the environment.
