Study Program Undergraduate
The Study Program of Forest Resources Conservation and Ecotourism (FRCE) in the Faculty of Forestry and Environment, IPB University, is dedicated to the development of science, technology, and the arts in the fields of tropical biodiversity conservation, environmental protection, and ecotourism. Based on the mandate to protect life-support systems and to preserve and sustainably use biodiversity and environmental services, the program envisions excellence and leadership by foregrounding the socio-technopreneurship concept to achieve national independence. The program’s primary missions are to provide research-based education, develop science, technology, and the arts to address real-world problems, facilitate their implementation in the community, and become a trendsetter in biodiversity conservation and environmental protection. The curriculum is designed to produce graduates with profiles as planners, professional managers, facilitators for community empowerment, and eco-technopreneurs. Hence, FRCE graduates are equipped with the ability to responsibly and sustainably manage conservation areas and ecotourism, conduct research, and develop businesses based on environmental services and biodiversity
To become a leading and distinguished study program in advancing Science, Technology, and the Arts (STA) and in developing high-quality human resources in the fields of tropical biodiversity conservation, environment, and ecotourism, grounded in socio-technopreneurship to support national independence
Mission1. Organizing and developing research-based academic education in the fields of tropical biodiversity conservation, environment, and ecotourism.
2. Organizing and developing research oriented towards the development of STA and problem-solving in the field of tropical biodiversity conservation, the environment, and ecotourism, to be able to answer real-world challenges and issues, and the needs of the community or users.
3. Facilitating the implementation of STA in the field of tropical biodiversity conservation, environment, and ecotourism for the community in a sustainable manner.
4. To establish the Forest Resources Conservation and Ecotourism (FRCE) Study Program as a trend setter in the development of tropical biodiversity conservation, the environment, and ecotourism for professional communities involved in the science, business, non-governmental organizations, and government
