Medical education consists of the Bachelor of Medicine Education Stage and the Doctor Profession Education. The curriculum of the IPB University Faculty of Medicine is designed based on the competencies specified in the Indonesian Doctor Competency Standards, supplemented with the excellence of herbal medicine and One Health. The implementation of medical education at the IPB University Faculty of Medicine is designed to provide space for prospective doctors to hone their abilities and independent thinking skills by applying community-based learning strategies, flexibility learning, utilizing learning technology in the field of medicine, and collaborative learning with various partners at the national/international levels. The curriculum of the Doctor Study Program at the IPB University Faculty of Medicine uses an integrated block system and consists of 156 credits for the bachelor of medicine stage (8 semesters) and 56 credits for the doctor profession stage (4 semesters).

The Doctor Study Program at the IPB University Faculty of Medicine was established with the hope of addressing various challenges in the field of health and medicine, as well as strengthening IPB as a center of excellence in science and technology development and community service. This is achieved by conducting academic and professional education for doctors, advancing research, technology, and arts in the field of medicine with excellence in Herbal medicine, community service through collaboration with the Academic Health System, and fostering partnerships for the success of the Three Pillars of Higher Education.
