Study Program Profession
Engineering Law No. 11, the Year 2014, is the basis for the readiness of Indonesian engineers to face national and global challenges and provides a legal umbrella for engineering governance, ensuring competence and quality of work and increasing the competitiveness and reliability of the engineering profession. As one of the realizations of the implementation of the Engineering Law, the government, in this case, the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, through the Decree of the Directorate General of Science and Technology Institutions and Higher Education No. 682/C.C4/KL/2016 has given a mandate to 40 universities that are considered to meet the requirements, one of which is Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), to organize a Professional Engineer Program. Its accordance with the role of universities as stated in Article No. 20 of National Education System Law No. 20/2003 that universities can organize academic, professional, and vocational programs.
Referring to Article No. 5 of the Engineering Law, the disciplines of civil and environmental engineering; industry; conservation and management of natural resources; agriculture and agroindustrial products; and marine technology are considered relevant to the mission and mandate of IPB.
To become an excellent, trusted, and nationally and internationally recognized Professional Engineer Education Program to produce competent and highly integrity engineers in agriculture in a broad meaning.
Mission1. Organizing professional engineering education to produce competent engineers, have integrity and high competitiveness in the field of agriculture in a broad meaning to advance civilization and public welfare, protect the interests of society, and realize sustainable development.
2. Spurring technology development to increase agriculture-based resources' added value, usability, and productivity.
3. Disseminating technological developments to accelerate and expand the application of engineering practices in agriculture in a broad meaning.

The Study Program of Professional Engineer Program is referred to in the First Dictum by the Academic Decree of Bogor Agricultural University Number 10/IT3.SA/PP/2019 concerning Approval of the Establishment of the Professional Engineer Education Study Program of Bogor Agricultural University is to prepare human resources with sufficient knowledge in higher education for professional engineers.
