Study Program Vocational

Plant Breeding and Seed Technology Study Program aims to produce professional workers to support the development of the seed industry in Indonesia, with graduate profiles: Plant Breeder: Skilled in assembling plant varieties by applying conventional and modern techniques; Pollinator: Skilled in conducting artificial crosses, both for plant breeding research activities and for hybrid seed production; Candidate Variety Testing Manager: Skilled in conducting candidate variety testing in various locations; Generative and Vegetative Seed Producer: Skilled and competent in applying precision technology in generative and vegetative seed production in the field; Seed Production Manager: Skilled and qualified in applying management of the entire seed production process; Plant Seed Supervisor: Skilled and competent in supervising and ensuring quality of seed production activities.

Vision

To become a superior Applied Undergraduate Study Program that can produce competent and skilled human resources, as well as applied innovation in the field of plant breeding and seed technology.

Mission

"1) Provide vocational education to prepare human resources with integrity, entrepreneurial character, knowledge, and skills in tropical agricultural plant breeding and seed technology;
2) Develop superior and innovative applied technology in the field of tropical agricultural plant breeding and seed technology;
3) Disseminate superior varieties and innovative seed technology to increase tropical agricultural crop production and community welfare;
4) Establish national and international collaborations with government agencies and/or seed companies related to competency achievement and employment opportunities for graduates."
