The Food Quality Assurance Supervisor (JMP) study program is an applied undergraduate program with specific strengths in the field of quality assurance and food safety. JMP produces graduates with quality assurance and food safety competencies suitable for employment in the food industry and government agencies as quality control supervisors, quality assurance supervisors, food inspectors, food safety instructors, halal supervisors, halal auditors, and as auditors and consultants in quality and food safety certification bodies. The food industry in the future will face various complex challenges, considering changes in technology, consumption patterns, and the need to adapt to climate change and a growing global population. The curriculum, human resources, facilities, and infrastructure are developed with the aim of producing graduates with high levels of hard and soft skills, equipped with data literacy, technological literacy, human literacy, and the 4Cs (critical thinking, problem-solving, communications, creativity, and collaboration) to become adaptive and agile graduates in facing the challenges of Industry 5.0.
Lecturers in the JMP Study Program, in addition to holding Master's and Doctoral degrees in food science and technology, food safety, food policy, and food quality management, also hold technical competency certificates in related fields.
The JMP Study Program continuously strengthens strategic partnerships with the food industry, certification bodies, government agencies, and alumni associations to create internship opportunities, graduate recruitment, the provision of practicing lecturers, research collaborations, and other developments relevant to the needs of the food industry and the workforce.
